Gathering of Eagles events have always taken place beneath a canopy of American flags.
We dont plan it, it just happens. Our leftist counterparts are baffled by our affection for Old Glory.
We are baffled by their aversion to it; asking a moonbat to hold a flag is almost like offering a crucifx to a vampire.
On August 31, the North Carolina Gathering of Eagles received a magnificent gift: a 24' portable flag pole.
The pole was designed and manufactured by NC Eagle Emmit Morehead of
TRI STEEL FABRICATORS in Wilson, NC.
Another member of GOE-NC owns a 20 foot flag that had never flown on a pole due to the size of the
flag and the cost of commercial poles large enough for such a flag. He made comment of his desire
for a portable pole big enough to fly this huge flag at GOE events.
Emmit Morehead made note of the comment, and one week later brought his creation to Washington NC,
where the NC Eagles were countering a Moonbat Insurgency. The flag flew on August 31 on Stewart Parkway
and was the centerpiece of our Pledge of Allegiance.
Photo taken at Washington NC counter demonstration shows Emmit under the big flag.
Emmit made the pole portable by fabricating five 4 foot sections of threaded pipe that can be
assembled on site. The really great part of the design is the base being mounted on a
large steel plate. Park your car on the plate to hold the pole.
Emmit Morehead designed and manufactured this pole as an employee of TRI STEEL FABRICATORS Owners:
Ron Cook
Steve Gibbons
Tom Robertson
All materials were donated by TRI STEEL.
We all look forward to seeing this flag and pole at GOE events everywhere permits and terrain allow.
